Policies and Procedures
Please be sure to read through all of our Student Activities Policies and Procedures before registering your child.

Refund Policy
Refunds are based on when the cancellation is received. Cancellations requests received:
• On or before Sunday, October 14, will receive a full refund
• After October 14, refunds are done at the discretion of the vendor at the vendors rate
• There are no refunds for missed classes. Snow days be made up if possible.

Scholarships
The PTSA has a limited need-based scholarships available. One scholarship per student per school year is allowed. To find out how to apply for a scholarship, please email studentactivities@einsteinptsa.org. Applications must be submitted by Friday, October 12, 2018 by 3:30pm. Late applications will not be accepted. Applications will be reviewed in the order that they were received and applicants will be notified through email.

Chaperons
Our PTSA insurance policy states that in order to run our programs, at least one PTSA member, who is approved by the school district to volunteer, must be present in each class. Parents or guardians are asked to fulfill this requirement for a minimum of one class day per session per child. At the end of the registration process, "SignUp Genius" links will be provided to schedule chaperons for each class. Chaperons must:

- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be or become an Einstein PTSA member for the current school year.
- Be or become LWSD background-check approved(Link opens in new window) 

FREE TUITION Options  

  • Parents who are able to chaperon for all weeks of an activity will receive FREE tuition for one child. To apply contact studentactivites@einsteinptsa.org
  • Parents who are able to share chaperone duties with one other permanent chaperone , both of them will qualify for 50% FREE Tuition for one child.( Some restrictions may apply.) To apply contact studentactivites@einsteinptsa.org

TGA VolleyBall

Ready, set, spike! TGA Volleyball brings an exciting, fast-paced game that develops the skills of teamwork, passing, setting, serving, spiking, and blocking in each lesson. Coaches lead students through games and activity stations that incorporate athletics, academics, and life skills to create a fun and encouraging environment.

 Piano

Come learn piano in a fun social group atmosphere! Group piano class provides students an excellent introduction to the keyboard and prepares them for more serious private study as well as playing in a band/ensemble. Students will begin to develop the skill of playing music with their peers which provides a lifelong benefit.  Our teachers focus on developing the students’ core keyboard skills: hand position, note-reading, chord vocabulary, rhythm, and theory while rehearsing a repertoire of rock, pop, and classical songs.

Game Development ( Beginner-Intermediate)

This course introduces kids to computer programming through the fun and excitement of building video games. Working in Scratch, a drag-and-drop programming tool, students will create everything from animations to multi-level games. Beginner Students will learn the core concepts of programming a game, such as loops, conditionals, and variables. Intermediate Students will level-up to more complex concepts, like nested conditionals and functions with parameters. Projects are updated each session, so returning students will have new challenges to work  through and advance their creativity and knowledge to the next level.

Math Club

 Students will be exposed to the pure beauty of mathematical and computational thinking, its creativity, and real life application.   Brain Gymnastics program at Archimedes school is a mental workout designed to prepare young minds for the twenty first century life-style. The class stretches the students’ reasoning beyond day-to-day thinking by challenging them with exciting and puzzling problems. Students get an opportunity to develop their investigative, creative, and critical thinking skills by exploring mathematical topics and brainteasers in an inspiring and competitive team setting. Brain Gymnastics targets the student’s problem solving skills and emphasizes understanding concepts rather than memorizing rules.

AllAboutChess brings an excellent game of chess with all classes having a focus on sportsmanship and critical thinking.
Chess is excellent at teaching kids mental discipline, to focus, to look at all their options, to compete under time pressure, to play fair, that mistakes have consequences, to not give up when behind, and many more life lessons. Classes are tailored to the level of competency exhibited among the students.

Hip Hop Dance

Hip Hop dance uplifts, unites, and empowers children. Musicality, rhythm, and creative movement are key components of this fun, urban/street-style dance class that teaches boys and girls alike to step, stomp, and shake it out.

Little Coders

The Little Coders class provides young students with the basics of computational thinking skills, such as loops and conditionals, through a fun blend of hands-on activities .The curriculum is built specifically for this age group, with a mix of activities from coding puzzles and board games to easy-to-use, drag-and-drop programming tools.  Projects are updated each session, so returning students will have new challenges to work through and advance their knowledge.

Art Class

In this session, we will explore different subjects with different materials. Each project will be done with a different type of medium. We will start with a self-portrait using soft pastels, continue with one point perspective landscape with water colors, and other subjects inspired by nature with Acrylics, oil pastels and more. Each class will cover a unique topic with a unique material.
