Registration Instructions
A registration button will be available on February 19, 10:00 AM. Please click on the registration button at that time to start the registration process. This button will be disabled and removed on Sunday, February 24, 10:00 PM.
Policies and Procedures
Please be sure to read through all of our Student Activities Policies and Procedures before registering your child.
Refund Policy
Refunds are based on when the cancellation is received. Cancellations requests received:
• On or before Tuesday, February 26, will receive a full refund
• After February 26, will be done at the discretion of the vendor at the vendors rate
• There are no refunds for missed classes. Cancelled classes will only be made up if possible.
Scholarships
The PTSA has a limited need-based scholarships available. One scholarship per student per school year is allowed. To find out how to apply for a scholarship, please email studentactivities@einsteinptsa.org. Applications must be submitted by Friday, February 22, 2019 by 3:30pm. Late applications will not be accepted. Applications will be reviewed in the order that they were received and applicants will be notified through email.
Chaperones
Our PTSA insurance policy states that in order to run our programs, at least one PTSA member, who is approved by the school district to volunteer, must be present in each class. Parents or guardians are asked to fulfill this requirement for a minimum of one class day per session per child. At the end of the registration process, "SignUp Genius" links will be provided to schedule chaperones for each class. Chaperones must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be or become an Einstein PTSA member for the current school year.
- Be or become LWSD background-check approved. (Link opens in new window)
FREE TUITION Options
Please note: Chaperone preference will be given to permanent chaperones. Tuition reductions will be reimbursed at the end of the Student Activities session, upon successful completion of chaperon duties.

Each of our classes are specifically designed to give students the communication skills needed to bring amazing opportunities as they grow through childhood and into contributing and successful adults. Math Club
Students will be exposed to the pure beauty of mathematical and computational thinking, its creativity, and real life application. Brain Gymnastics program at Archimedes school is a mental workout designed to prepare young minds for the twenty first century life-style. The class stretches the students’ reasoning beyond day-to-day thinking by challenging them with exciting and puzzling problems.Students get an opportunity to develop their investigative, creative, and critical thinking skills by exploring mathematical topics and brainteasers in an inspiring and competitive team setting. Brain Gymnastics targets the student’s problem solving skills and emphasizes understanding concepts rather than memorizing rules.

AllAboutChess brings an excellent game of chess with all classes having a focus on sportsmanship and critical thinking.Chess is excellent at teaching kids mental discipline, to focus, to look at all their options, to compete under time pressure, to play fair, that mistakes have consequences, to not give up when behind, and many more life lessons. Classes are tailored to the level of competency exhibited among the students.

Young Whiz uses LEGO® bricks in an active, fun, and hands on learning environment boosts motivation, inspires natural desire to learn, explore, and discover on their own. Students will learn subjects like science, math, engineering, and technology. Working with bricks, children will be able to bring abstract concepts to life that they can touch, describe and innovate upon. Along with boosting self-guided learning and creativity, our program will help to improve and overcome challenges, collaboration and, communication in a group and one on one setting.

Young Sharks is designed to provide students a remarkable opportunity in developing skills they can use to build a product, a service or a business that will make a positive impact in their own community. Through a project-based experiential program, students generate ideas, conduct research, and write business plans. By the end of the program, students will have the necessary skills, experiences, and materials to pitch their ideas confidently to a simulated panel of investors confidently. Please note: There is no free tuition available for a full-time volunteer for this class.?

Create your own stop-motion animation movie! In this class students will use iPads (provided by the instructor) to take animation photos of LEGO® pieces and to edit video and sound. Set, character, and story construction will be taught, and unique student ideas will be supported.

Art Class
In this session, we will take a virtual trip to the zoo and explore the animals who live there! We will draw them, paint them, and sculpt them. We will also create a big painting on canvas using acrylics of an animal in its natural environment. We will combine techniques of space composition light and shadow, one-point perspective, tow-point perspective and creating depth and 3D. We will use pencils, charcoals, soft pastels, oil pastels, watercolor, acrylic, clay and foils.

Put on your running shoes and join us for running club! Students will learn the techniques and skills to enjoy running. Kids will be running on campus as well as taking some adventures onto the nearby Powerline Trail. Note: No parent chaperones required for this class.

Dancing is a highly physical activity, and kids who take dance lessons regularly should expect to see a significant improvement in their overall physical health. Jazz showcases a dancer’s individual style and originality. It incorporates leaps and turns as well as many other unique moves. Jazz dance is shared by a large range of dance styles.?
