Einstein Elementary Spelling Club
Einstein is proud to announce the grade level winners of our Spelling Clubs! Congratulations to Anika G. (2nd grade), Sophie H. (3rd grade), Jenine S. (4th grade), Felix G. (5th grade) and Alizay S. (6th grade). Alizay will be competing in the Regional Spelling Bee in Seattle on March 13. Good luck to Alizay and thank you to all Spelling Club participants! The PTSA would also like to thank Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Ollerenshaw and all parent volunteers for donating their time and energy.
WHAT: The goal of the Einstein Elementary Spelling Club is to provide an enrichment opportunity for 2nd - 6th graders to help improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives. Official Scripp’s National Spelling Bee materials will be made available to the club members to study words, practice spelling bees and participate in other fun activities. The club will be led by both teacher and parent volunteers.
WHEN: The club meets every Tuesday during lunch recess starting Nov. 2nd and ending with a school Spelling Bee in early 2011.
COST: The Spelling Club is free of cost to the members, but space is limited.
Registration is closed for year 2010-11. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Kari Haegele at karihaegele@comcast.net.
