Einstein Elementary Spelling Club
WHAT: Einstein Elementary is proud to announce the creation of a Spelling Club in our school this year! The goal of the club is to provide an enrichment opportunity for the 4th, 5th and 6th graders to help improve their spelling, increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives. Official Scripp’s National Spelling Bee materials will be made available to the club members to study words, practice spelling bees and participate in other fun activities. The club will be lead by both teacher and parent volunteers.
WHEN: The club will meet every Wednesday for 15 weeks starting February 17th, 2010 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Meetings will take place during lunch recess in Mrs. Ollerenshaw’s classroom. We are planning a special showing of “Akeelah and the Bee” in the spring and a Spelling Bee for club members in early June.
DATES: 2/17, 2/24, 3/03, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 4/07, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/05, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26 and 6/02.
