Winter Before & After School Activities Update
Thank you to everyone who registered for Winter before and after school activities. Everything starts up again this month. But we've also had a change to the schedule -- Spanish for K-2 is moving to Monday afternoons after school. For more details please review the Einstein PTSA Student Activities page. Questions? LWSD Superintendent Update: Meet the Preferred Candidate and Provide Input
The Board of Directors of the Lake Washington School District unanimously voted to put forward Dr. Traci Pierce, the district's deputy superintendent, as its preferred candidate for superintendent. The board is introducing Dr. Pierce to the community through a series of public events and asking for input on her candidacy. Details here. The successful candidate will replace the departing Dr. Chip Kimball, who becomes superintendent of the Singapore American School on July 1.
Weather Impacts to the School Schedule -- Where do I find information?
When weather conditions require a change in the normal school day schedule, the district will communicate changes in the following ways:
Messages will be recorded on the district's main phone line, (425) 936-1200.
The district's site, http://lwsd.org, may contain updates including cancelled events. The district's automated messaging service may be used to phone or send text messages with updates.
